Careers at Polaris

Teach With People Who Love Teaching

Polaris is growing and we are looking for educators who genuinely care about the craft of teaching. If you hold your subject to a high standard and you love helping students understand it deeply, you will fit right in here.

Our Hiring Philosophy

High Standards. Warm Door.

Polaris was built by teachers, and we have always hired that way. What we care about most is not a perfect CV. It is the educator who finds a better way to explain a concept, who notices when a student is lost and changes course, who takes genuine satisfaction in watching something click. That instinct is what we are looking for.

We do maintain a rigorous selection process, because the families who trust Polaris expect it. But rigorous does not mean cold. Our process is designed to let your real teaching ability show, and we make it as straightforward as possible. If you are the kind of educator who cares deeply about what you do, please apply. We want to hear from you.

  • Formal Credential Review

We verify all teaching certificates, university degrees, and professional credentials before progressing any application.

  • Introductory Phone Call

We have a short, relaxed conversation by phone to learn more about your background, your teaching approach, and what you are looking for. It is a two-way conversation, not an interrogation.

  • Teaching Demonstration

Finalists complete a short teaching demonstration on a topic in their subject area. This can be live or submitted as a video recording. We are looking for clarity, depth, and how you handle the moment when a student does not follow.

  • Ongoing Quality Monitoring

Joining the team is not a one-time evaluation. All Polaris tutors are monitored against our teaching standards throughout their time with us.

You Belong Here If...

We welcome applications from educators in any of the following categories. Passion for teaching matters as much as credentials:

  • Certified classroom teachers currently active or recently retired from top-ranked schools

  • IB-certified instructors with direct experience teaching IB subjects at HL or SL

  • AP-audited teachers with a track record of strong AP exam results

  • Subject experts holding a PhD or Master's degree with 10+ years of teaching experience in their field

  • Educational project specialists with expertise in curriculum development, contest coaching, or academic programme design

We hire for every subject we teach, and we are currently growing in all areas.

How the Process Works

The form takes about 10 minutes. We ask about your credentials, the subjects and levels you teach, your experience, and your approach to teaching. A short cover letter is not required but is strongly preferred. It is genuinely the best way to stand out.

  1. Your Background

Tell us your name, contact details, highest credential, where you studied, the subjects you teach, and how many years of experience you have.

  2. Your Teaching Approach

In your own words, describe what makes your teaching effective and what you do differently. This is the most important part of your application. Take your time with it.

  3. Cover Letter

We strongly encourage a short cover letter. It does not need to be formal. Just tell us why you want to teach with Polaris and what you bring to our students.

  4. Supporting Links

Optionally share a LinkedIn profile, personal website, portfolio, or any work sample that gives us a clearer picture of who you are as an educator.

  5. We Take It From Here

Every application is read by a real person on our team. If there is a strong fit, you will hear from us within a few business days to set up an introductory call.
